Association History

You have to know where you’ve been to know where you are going. Kappa holds a special place in its heart for Fraternity history, but every association of our organization has unique beginnings of its own. Each plays a part in shaping us today and continuing the Kappa tradition beyond college.

The Kappa Kappa Gamma Alumnae Association of the Palm Beaches was formed on October 2, 1997 as a result of the assimilation of two separate chapters:  Palm Beach County and South Palm Beach County.  While the group thrived for many years, they formally disbanded in 2018 yet the original group of women continue to meet socially to this day.

In the fall of 2019, new leadership took the reigns to re-establish the Palm Beach Alumnae Association.  Tonya Sewell and Ellen Martin are now leading the reformation in advance of our sesquicentennial celebration.  They hope to host various events to foster relationships and encourage Kappa ideals.
